We would like to introduce a case study of the successful automation of three-dimensional glove sewing by Porte Co., Ltd. In Kagawa Prefecture, known as the town of gloves, the number of skilled workers has been decreasing year by year. In contrast, the demand for quality (difficulty) has been increasing, and there has been a constant rush to respond to various shapes, cost reduction, and mass production. There was a need for a system that could consistently supply high quality and be operated by anyone. Our company has succeeded in automating the sewing of three-dimensional gloves. The automated production of the developed three-dimensional gloves has made it possible to achieve stable quality production domestically, and utilizing this technological system has enabled the proposal of new gloves.
